Bio

Unavox emerged in late 2004 as a four-member ensemble dedicated to the composition and live performance of electronic and industrial music. Based on the concepts and musical frameworks keyboardist Reid Rainwater had previously developed as a one- man-band years earlier, the other members of Unavox and Reid were able to create new music that equally represented them all. Unavox's debut EP, 'Angels Dance Upwards,' was recorded in the band's home studio by the members themselves. Approximately halfway through the recording process, three of the band members moved from Athens, GA to California, leaving guitarist, Steve Fogle, behind in Athens.

Despite the distance, Unavox continued to record the EP and play shows transcontinentally via the internet and several flights for Steve. The West Coast EP Release took place in July, 2005, and was well-received by several magazines and is still getting airplay on numerous stations, including Rant Radio, The Ungodly Hour, and CyberAge Radio. Along with many additional accolades, the 'Angels Dance Upwards [ep]' was included on DJ I.Z.'s "Best Albums of 2005" list and was also listed on Radio Ardilla's "Best of 2005."

Unavox's goal is to compose electronic music that can be performed live. Live Unavox is Reid Rainwater on lead keys, Micheal Murray with dark vocals, Meggan Cooper on bass, sultry backing vocals, and backing keys, and Steve Fogle with aggressive guitar and backing vocals. In the studio, each member has a role in the writing, arranging, and recording/engineering of the music and lyrics.

Unavox is currently working in the studio to complete the full- length 'Angels Dance Upwards' album, which is tentatively scheduled for release in Summer 2006, in addition to playing live shows and promoting the ep. With the completion of the full-length album close at hand, Unavox is already composing and recording songs for the next album and booking shows across the eastern half of the US. Unavox will continue to strive to put on the dynamic live shows and produce the innovative industrial rock music that brought them together to begin with.
